How Astrology Maps Your Nervous System
Jun 10, 2026
There’s a moment that happens in 1:1 work that creates the breakthrough.
Someone shares their chart. We pull up their placements. And somewhere in the middle of that conversation, they go quiet — not because something is confusing, but because something is landing. Something they’ve felt in their body for years, maybe decades, is suddenly visible on paper.
That’s what medical astrology does when you actually let it work.
Not the sun sign pop astrology that tells you Scorpios are intense (we know, we get it). I mean the older, more grounded practice of looking at the natal chart as a map of the body’s tendencies — where your system is most likely to carry tension, where it’s most likely to break down under chronic stress, and where it’s been quietly sending you signals you’ve been trained to ignore.
For me, medical astrology is one of the most compelling nervous system frameworks we have. And most people have never thought about it that way.
The Body Keeps the Score. The Chart Keeps the Map.
We talk a lot now about nervous system dysregulation. Somatic work, polyvagal theory, the vagal brake — this language has finally moved out of therapy offices and into mainstream wellness conversations, which is genuinely good.
But here’s what most nervous system frameworks miss: individual variation.
Your nervous system is not a generic nervous system. It was shaped by your genetics, your early environment, your attachment history, your neurotype, your lived experience. And if you believe — as I do, and as the history of this practice suggests — that the natal chart encodes something real about the system you were born into, then it follows that your chart is also encoding something about where your nervous system is most likely to accumulate load or how you even get into stress patterns in the first place.
The signs map to the body in a progression from Aries (the head, the adrenals, the fight response) down through the zodiac to Pisces (the feet, the lymph, the dissolution of boundaries). This isn’t metaphor layered onto anatomy for aesthetic reasons. It’s a functional framework that, when you apply it to someone’s actual chart, produces eerily accurate patterns.
The Aries placement person who lives with chronic migraines and an overactive stress response. The Taurus placement who holds grief in their jaw, their neck, their shoulders, and cannot let go without a full system reboot. The Gemini placement who cannot turn their brain off, who wakes at 3am with racing thoughts, who has tried every sleep protocol and none of them work long-term because the root isn’t sleep hygiene — it’s an nervous system that has never once felt safe enough to fully stop processing.
These aren’t coincidences. They’re patterns. And they deserve a framework sophisticated enough to hold them.
I use this framework daily for myself as well as my clients. It was my own personal use of Astrology and nervous system science that led me to realize my gut issues are a body signal I am off track and accumulating stress.
What We Miss When We Only Treat the Symptom
Here’s the thing about nervous system dysregulation that doesn’t get said enough: the body is not malfunctioning. It is doing exactly what it learned to do to keep you safe.
The chronic tension in your shoulders isn’t only a posture problem. It’s a nervous system that learned to brace, especially if you are a Gemini. The digestive issues that flare under stress aren’t random, especially if you are a Cancer. They’re your enteric nervous system responding to a threat signal your conscious mind has normalized. The exhaustion that doesn’t resolve with rest isn’t laziness or poor time management. It’s a system that never got the “all clear.”
Medical astrology, when used thoughtfully, gives you a map for where that learning got encoded in the body — and why certain types of stress hit you harder than others.
Aries placements carry the cost of constantly pushing. The adrenals. The inflammation. The headaches that show up when you’ve been running on adrenaline too long and finally stop.
Taurus placements carry the weight of holding on. The thyroid. The throat. The metabolic sluggishness that arrives not from what you’re eating but from what you’re not releasing — emotionally, energetically, relationally.
Gemini placements carry the weight of mental overload. The nervous system itself. The lungs. The arms and hands that hold tension. The dissociation that looks like distraction.
And this continues through every sign — not as a fixed destiny, but as a landscape of tendencies worth knowing.
This Is Not Woo. This Is Pattern Recognition.
I want to name something directly, because I know some people reading this are skeptics who maybe stumbled into Astrology accidentally.
Medical astrology isn’t asking you to believe that Saturn caused your autoimmune condition. It’s asking you to consider that the natal chart might be encoding real information about constitutional tendencies — the same way knowing someone’s neurotype, or their attachment style, or their genetic predispositions gives you more accurate, more personalized information to work with.
In fact, Ra Uru Hu stated that Neutrinos have mass long before Quantum Physics. This is significant for Astrology & Human Design because it shows that we are imprinted by the planetary bodies at the time of our birth.

Just as a disclaimer: This framework doesn’t replace medicine. It adds a layer of self-knowledge that most people have never had access to — or were never given permission to take seriously in a world that prioritizes the mind and pushing through. As an extension of having the ability to finally hear, and listen, to your body my hope is that it also encourages people to work with their nervous system & seek out medical support when their body is starting to scream.
That’s the gap my new YouTube series is trying to close.
Why I Built the Series Now
My Cosmic Body Blueprint Guide has existed for six or seven years. I created it originally as a reference for 1:1 client work — a companion document to help people understand what their chart was showing us about their body, their energy, their nervous system patterns.
People used it. People shared it. People kept coming back to it years later saying they still referenced it. But the guide was always a starting point, not a complete framework. And the missing piece was always the nervous system layer — the application of this material to how we regulate, how we dysregulate, and what our charts are actually trying to show us about the places we carry too much for too long.
The new Medical Astrology YouTube series is that missing piece. It combines my past in Psychology, my extensive certifications in Polyvagal Theory, and my lifelong experience with Astrology.
Each episode goes deep on one sign: the body systems it governs, the nervous system patterns that tend to develop under chronic stress with that placement, the signals the body sends that we’ve been trained to ignore, and what it might mean to work with that constitutional pattern instead of against it.
Aries. Taurus. Gemini. The full series continues to roll out.
Watch your Sun sign and your Rising sign — both matter here, and they’ll often illuminate different layers of the same pattern.
The Body Is Not Betraying You
I want to close with this, because it’s the thing that matters most.
Your symptoms are not evidence that your body is broken. Your exhaustion is not a character flaw. Your sensitivity — to stress, to overwhelm, to the specific kinds of pressure your placements point to — is not a weakness.
It’s information.
The body has been trying to tell you something. The chart, if you’re willing to use it this way, has been showing you the map.
The series is here. The guide is free. The work is yours to do — but you don’t have to do it without a map.
The Cosmic Body Blueprint Guide is free to grab — it’s the companion resource to the entire series. Start with your Sun and Rising sign episodes, then explore the rest. The playlist is linked below.
