I was scrolling through Facebook stories from years past after a really powerful day at UPW & I found posts from when I was training to be an instructor at a spin studio.
In conversation through Voxer with one of my high level 1:1 clients yesterday, who said she “felt out of beat with her frequency”, the analogy hit…
When I was first invited to work at this studio I didn’t have a background in spin, although I loved it. My background was in Crossfit & heavy lifting. And if you have ever trained in Olympic lifting it is a true testament to the body leading & true surrender as you drop yourself UNDER a heavy ass bar, trusting you WILL catch it & not drop it on your head….
Or at the very least trust your body knows how to get out of the way without THINKING about it if you do not effectively catch the bar.
As a spin instructor I felt “behind” the others so I put so much pressure on myself to GET the beat, to GET the flow, to count, figure out, make it happen.
I convinced myself I had to do something specific to BE IN FLOW with the music.
And the more I did that the more OUT of flow I would get…
Therefore the more I pushed, tried to figure it out, looked around me wondering “how the ever loving FUCK is everyone else “getting it” the futher I got from it’.
Then one day it hit me….
You don’t TRY to be in flow…
You ARE in flow.
You don’t TRY to find the beat…
YOU are the beat.
That day I went into training & slayed. Hit every beat & was in the vibe of “of course this gets to be easy”.
Now, this is where so many are getting it twisted in business, whether you haven’t made your first $10, 000 or you are feeling drained, bored, uninspired, wanting to burn it down at 7 figures….
You are trying to maintain a certain intensity, a certain beat, figuring out what steps allow you to dance with the energy, grasping, expecting, even out-sourcing by trying to calibrate to someone else…
Instead of simply allowing yourself to do what is aligned, feels right, AND what you know is soul led to do.
Most of you are TRYING to make decisions based on your inner authority, trying to figure out how, logically wrestle your inner authority into submission….
Instead of breathing, closing your eyes, and allowing the beat to carry you.
Unlimited, exponential, creative flow comes from being ready to do what you came here to do & BE who you came here to be (embodied, healthy, grounded MOTHER) and this will never be found, at least not from a fulfilling life GIVING sort of way, from the wounded maiden archetype of perfectionism, impatience, grasping, unfocused, expecting energy.

Because that is literally what happens when you are embodied & follow soul, and no one can convince me otherwise because I SEE it everyday for myself & my clients.
I also SEE that when I work against this everything goes to hell in a handbasket.
