One of the major challenges we meet on a path of self development and spiritual awakening is the unwillingness to commit to the process long enough to have significant breakthroughs. Yet, this is the only path to long term transformation.
We can be so anxious to change our lives at a conscious level that we focus on temporary band-aids such as our behaviours and habits (or simply collecting more information) without addressing the unconscious mechanisms that keep us from the true transformation we seek.
As Carl Jung once said, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate". Meaning that unconscious thoughts and feelings, if left unexamined, will unknowingly influence our choices making it FEEL like our life is out of our control.
We must have the courage to address inner resistances and self limiting patterns that are creating the world we currently experience.
This process takes determination, intention, and a radical sense of ownership over our shadow patterns. However, over time we are able to plant new seeds within fresh soil within the vast landscape of our internal world. These new grooves and soil create the foundation for the changes we seek in the external world.
Through surrender to this process we become conscious creators of our life and create a reality that is greater than we could ever imagine..
